What’s faster, a Ducati or a Corvette? Despite its Italian roots the Ducati Diavel power cruiser is, in many ways, a two-wheeled Corvette: it’s a big engine with not much around it, designed primarily for laying dragstrip burnouts.
Cycle World brings us this test, which may indicate some bias, but the results don’t lie: according to their test, the 162-horsepower Diavel trounces the Corvette with a 10-second quarter-mile time, while the Corvette Stingray takes two more seconds to cross the line.
Maybe this won’t answer any questions as to the car beating the motorcycle, or vice versa, but the result is beautifully shot and certainly exciting to watch.
