The guys at 1320 Video were tooling around the streets of Nashville, thinking they were the kings of the world: their Corvette Z06 had heads and a cam and was putting down 600 horsepower. Then, they met a guy with a Miata that had 700 horsepower.
The Miata took on the Z06, and easily whipped the Corvette Z06 into submission. When both cars pulled over, the Corvette guys found out that the Miata was, just like them, also Corvette-powered.
The Miata not only had a 5.3-liter LSx engine, but also a 78mm turbocharger. At low boost, it was producing 600 horsepower, on narrow 225-series tires. But at full boost, and with a GM 4L80 automatic, the Mazda screams.
No matter which car wins, we know what really won: the LS engine.
